FISCAL SPONSORSHIP SERVICES

Arts Services Inc. (ASI) offers financial support services designed to empower organizations, collectives, and artists in the arts and cultural sector. Our services are tailored to meet your funding needs and include fiscal sponsorship opportunities.

If your arts or culture project has a public benefit, you could use a fiscal sponsor, such as ASI, to access funding from corporations and foundations, collect tax-deductible donations, and access certain nonprofit discounts.

 

FISCAL SPONSORSHIP SERVICES

Fiscal sponsorship is a valuable tool for individuals, groups, and organizations looking to access the benefits of nonprofit status for their fundraising efforts. Through ASI’s fiscal sponsorship program, you can:

  • Tax Deductible Gifts: Utilize ASI’s 501(c)(3) status to offer your donors and sponsors a tax deduction for their gifts.

  • Donation & Membership Processing: Simplify donation and membership management with our processing services.

  • Grant Access: Access funding opportunities typically reserved for nonprofits, such as foundation and government support.

Fiscal sponsorship fees are based on a percentage of funds raised. All contracts with ASI must be renewed or considered annually. Completed projects can be closed at any time throughout the year.

Please note: these services are limited to projects and programs whose purpose is arts & culture.

Sponsored projects must take place in and directly benefit those within our service area (Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, & Niagara counties). We also prioritize artists, collectives, and organizations who are based in those same WNY counties.

ASI’s fiscal sponsorship program cannot support

  • Are not arts or culture-focused
  • Have no charitable goals or outcomes
  • Have no definite scope, timeline, or public-facing outcomes
  • Are commercial or profit-driven
  • Seek equity investors, profit-sharing, or ownership returns
  • Involve lobbying or political campaign activity
  • Attempt to start a private foundation

  • Are seeking general support for ongoing artistic practice
  • Are seeking personal financial gain
  • Are completing undergraduate, graduate, or thesis work as a course requirement
  • Want to accept non-cash donations
