Registration is now open for the Empire Arts Summit 2025, New York State’s first statewide convening of arts and cultural workers, creatives, policymakers, and advocates. Hosted by ArtsNYS, this two-day event brings the field together for dialogue and collaboration. ASI is proud to support the summit, with our Executive Director, Jen Swan-Kilpatrick, serving as Co-President of ArtsNYS.
October 15 & 16, 2025 at Proctors Theater in Schenectady, NY
This two-day summit will bring together leaders and practitioners from across the state to discuss the role of the arts in policy, economic development, and social impact.
Keynote speakers include:
- Erika Mallin, Executive Director, NYS Council on the Arts (NYSCA)
- Erin Harkey, CEO, Americans for the Arts (AFTA)
Breakout sessions will cover:
- Policy & Advocacy: Advancing arts-driven change
- Economic Development & Revitalization: Arts as a catalyst for growth
- Social Impact & Innovation: Addressing challenges through the arts

A block of rooms is available at the DoubleTree Schenectady, a short walk from Proctors Theater. Reservations are open until sold out or by October 7, 2025.
