Kelsey Capruso joins Arts Services Inc. of Western New York as the Marketing & Communications Lead. Throughout a spanning career in nonprofits and later in the private art sector, Kelsey has built countless relationships with regional cultural administrators and artists alike. At Explore & More, Kelsey assisted in the museum’s expansion into the successful play-based attraction it is today. Her background in Childhood Education played into her attraction to “third space” learning opportunities such as cultural institutions and venues for The Arts wherein, individuals can share their diverse stories and delve into communal learning opportunities. As the Arts Access representative from Explore & More, Kelsey saw first hand the impact of ASI’s mission and values has on the WNY community. Later as a Gallery Assistant, Kelsey witnessed visual artists whose creativity could be stifled by, “the how” – she looks forward to helping artists with “the business side of art.”
At ASI, Kelsey will be responding to your inquiries, promoting events, programs, and funding opportunities. Behind the scenes, she orchestrates internal communications. In her spare time, you can find Kelsey hiking throughout New York State. Most often, she has a toddler strapped to her back and a rambunctious dog nearby.
