Western New York is well represented at this year’s Americans for the Arts National Arts Action Summit as ASI’s Jen Swan-Kilpatrick and Holly Grant take the lead as Federal Arts Advocacy Captains for New York State.

Usually in-person in Washington DC, the National Arts Action Summit will take place virtually this year from March 28-30th and is free for anyone to attend. If you have any issues registering, please reply to this email and someone will be available to assist you.

Participants will gain a depth of knowledge from policy experts and field leaders and learn compelling up-to-the-minute data, the latest in arts policy, and how to effectively engage decisionmakers to support the arts and arts education. In the weeks following, Federal Arts Advocacy Captains will facilitate meetings with participants and their elected officials to garner support for pro-arts issues.

ASI invites you to join our advocacy team as we explore the issues surrounding the annual appropriations process and the seven Creative Economy bills currently pending in Congress. (Don’t know what those are? Learn more about them here!)
