At the WNY Unity Summit, we’ll celebrate this incredible potential while equipping you with tools and inspiration to amplify the local impact of your work.

What to Expect

The Unity Summit will be a dynamic half-day event designed to provide actionable tools, foster collaboration, and inspire creative leaders to make meaningful community impacts. Here’s how the day will unfold:

1. Opening Keynote

We’ll kick things off with an inspiring keynote speaker who will set the tone for the day, offering a vision for how the arts can drive community change and foster unity.

2. Breakout Sessions & Workshops

Dive into concurrent sessions designed to address key areas of impact for arts and culture workers. Participants can choose from the following:

  • Diversifying Funding Sources for Uncertain Times: Learn strategies for building financial resilience by expanding your funding streams and preparing for the unexpected.
  • Storytelling for Diverse Audiences: Explore how to effectively share your organization’s story, showcase your impact, and connect with funders and audiences alike.
  • Responsive Programming: Discover how to design and implement programs that meet the needs of an ever-changing, diverse audience.

3. Power Mapping Workshop

The event will conclude with a power-mapping session led by Our City Action Buffalo. You’ll explore what defines power, who holds it, and how to navigate and leverage it to achieve your goals in the arts and beyond.
