In-Person Panel | Tuesday, October 24 at 7:00 pm

ASI gets a lot of questions from creatives about how to break into the arts industry or expand their artistic practice, especially since the pandemic when many people started or re-launched their creative practice. And the same questions keep popping up, such as:

  • How do I exhibit my work?
  • How do I sell my work?
  • How do I price my work?
  • What can I do with a loved one’s work since they’ve passed away?
  • and more.

That’s why we’re introducing the “Get To Know with ASI” series! This fall we will feature all things visual arts in Western New York starting with a panel discussion and following up with additional content in future blog features, videos, and social media posts.

We’re inviting creatives to join us for an in-person panel discussion on Tuesday, October 24 at 7:00 pm at Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center in Buffalo. Nonprofit gallery representatives will be on hand to discuss the most commonly asked questions and address your questions in real time.

The following WNY galleries will be represented at the panel discussion:

Please note: this panel will not feature commercial art galleries. We are starting with nonprofit galleries whose work centers the community. Future content will discuss other sides of the industry.

To help us launch this program, we spoke to several community-based nonprofit galleries about their processes, what they look for when selecting exhibiting artists, and advice they have for artists. You can see their answers by watching the video at the link below.
