The Give for Greatness grants provide $2,000 in general operating support to micro, small, and mid-sized arts-focused nonprofit organizations across the five counties of Western New York and $500 to collectives that are in the process of incorporating as a nonprofit organization.
To be eligible, an organization must meet all of the following criteria:
- Has arts or cultural activity and programming as primary purpose and mission;
- Has 501c3 or NYS CHAR 500 status OR be working toward incorporating as a 501c3;
- Is located in Erie, Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, or Niagara counties;
- Has a current operating budget of under $300,000;
- Receives less than $30,000 in county funding (or no county funding) for programs or operations for the current year.
This funding should not be used to increase profits or cover event or program related expenses. The goal is to help WNY’s smallest nonprofits build their internal capacity, making their mission-driven work easier.
