***NOTE: The main gate will not be open for this training. Attendees should park and walk to Gate 9 which is on the Delaware Park side of the Zoo.***

This session provides an overview of the legal, fiduciary, and ethical responsibilities of the Board of Directors. It will address the key roles a board is expected to take on, provide an overview of best practices, and offer practical guidance for board members to individually and collectively achieve excellence in governance performance. The session is designed for current and prospective Board Members and Executive Directors/CEOs.

This workshop is provided in conjunction with the Erie County Department of Environment and Planning, based on feedback and insight they have found from arts and cultural applications for county funding.
