Squeaky Wheel Media and Arts Center

Artists are invited to this FREE workshop to learn more about the NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship!

ASI hosted Gabriella Calandro from the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) to provide information about applying for the NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship.

The NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship is a cash grant of $7,000, not for a specific project, but simply to give you the time, space and resources you need to create. For 33 years the NYFA has administered the state-wide artist fellowship program on behalf of the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA).

This event was an opportunity to hear from Gabriella about the application and panel processes for the upcoming cycle when the disciplines awarded will be:

  • Architecture/Environmental Structures/Design
  • Choreography
  • Music/Sound
  • Photography
  • Playwriting/Screenwriting

More information about the Fellowship can be found on the NYFA website HERE.

Part of the ASI professional development series are made possible by Fund for the Arts, Erie County, and the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
